Immersive Wrapper
Immersive Wrapper is a Waves plug-in that turns mono VST3 processors into multichannel tools for immersive mixing workflows. It targets the immersive bus-processing gap, the fact that an Atmos mix is delivered as separate beds and objects rather than a single stereo bus, by linking multi-mono instances across beds and objects, including shared internal sidechains and cross-track "Global Group" linking for mix-wide dynamics control such as bus compression, EQ or saturation. Developed together with leading immersive mixing engineers, the tool supports track configurations from mono to 9.1.6 in studio workflows, including LCR, Quad, 6.0 and the various 5.1, 7.1 and 9.1 surround variants, and also integrates with SuperRack live environments, including SuperRack SoundGrid, Performer and LiveBox, where processing can run on dedicated SoundGrid servers for ultra-low-latency live use, with non-Waves VST3 support currently positioned for studio use only.

history
+–
Waves originally released Immersive Wrapper as a way to turn any mono-compatible Waves plugin into an immersive processor for Dolby Atmos and other object-based formats, developed in collaboration with leading immersive mixing engineers to address a bus-processing gap that had long frustrated engineers used to shaping a stereo master bus. Support was later extended across the full SuperRack product line, with SuperRack LiveBox shipping the plugin bundled in as standard for live broadcast and concert use. In 2026, Waves announced a significant update, unveiled at the NAB Show, opening Immersive Wrapper up to VST3 plugins from third-party manufacturers in studio environments, while live use within SuperRack remains limited to Waves' own plugin catalogue for the time being.
