Spacemap Go
Spacemap Go is a spatial sound design and mixing tool that takes advantage of the audio processing capability of the Meyer Sound Galileo® GALAXY Network Platform to help sound artists create immersive audio experiences. Spacemap also provides an iPad application to control the various setups it can handle. At its core, the tool works with two-dimensional graphic layouts called Spacemaps, which enable complex spatial sound distribution through simple, intuitive controls, and Trajectories, programmable sound paths applied to a Spacemap that can be recorded, edited and played back to dynamically move the mix. It integrates directly with show control software such as QLab and DAWs including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Digital Performer and Reaper for automated spatial mixing, and supports the RTTrPM protocol for integration with real-time tracking systems like BlackTrax.

Spacemap technology itself long predates the iPad app, having powered some of the most complex live sound productions for decades, including Cirque du Soleil shows and Broadway theatre, before Meyer Sound made it broadly accessible. Beta versions of Spacemap Go were in use from late 2019, with early adopters including Tony Award-winning sound designer Leon Rothenberg, who used it on the off-Broadway production of Dracula/Frankenstein, and sound artist Bill Fontana, who applied it to his installation Primal Energies at Kunsthaus Graz in Austria. Meyer Sound officially released Spacemap Go on 28 October as a free app for iPad, turning thousands of existing GALAXY processors already installed in the field into spatial sound design tools with nothing more than a firmware and Compass software update required from existing owners.
