SoundScape Renderer
author: Quality and Usability Lab / Institut für Nachrichtentechnik
The SoundScape Renderer is an open-source tool for real-time spatial audio reproduction that brings together multiple rendering methods within one framework. It supports workflows based on Wave Field Synthesis, Higher-Order Ambisonics, VBAP-derived panning, and binaural rendering, and can be operated either through its Qt graphical interface or over a TCP/IP network interface. The software runs on GNU/Linux and macOS, uses JACK for audio routing, and is positioned as both a practical renderer and a framework for implementing additional rendering algorithms.
