Holoplot Control
HOLOPLOT Control is a browser-based software, designed to manage and operate HOLOPLOT sound systems of any design and size. It simplifies the process of locating and managing Audio Modules, each containing up to 96 individually amplified loudspeaker drivers in HOLOPLOT's Matrix Array design, switching between various presets, monitoring signal level meters, and quickly understanding the currently loaded system. Control sits alongside HOLOPLOT Plan, the company's system design software for modelling a venue in 3D and defining target and avoidance areas before deployment, reflecting HOLOPLOT's description of itself as a software-first company built around 3D Audio-Beamforming and Wave Field Synthesis. This streamlined approach makes it ideal for handling diverse audio setups, ensuring users can easily manage and adapt their audio environment.

history

HOLOPLOT was founded in Berlin in 2011 by Tonmeister Helmut Oellers and DSP engineer Adrián Lara Moreno, and remained primarily a research company for its first five years. The original concept, taking Wave Field Synthesis and reshaping it into what became the Matrix Array, combining it with additional signal processing and audio beamforming, came from Oellers, whose early ideas are still publicly documented online. After years of further research and development under CEO Roman Sick, HOLOPLOT launched its first commercial product line, the X1 Matrix Array, in 2021, followed later by the more compact X2 system for smaller venues. Software has remained central to that growth: HOLOPLOT Control and HOLOPLOT Plan have been developed and updated alongside the hardware, with a major operating system upgrade, OS2.0, rolled out to existing and new users as part of the company's ongoing, software-led approach to spatial sound control.
