Halo Suite
Halo Suite is a bundle of four NUGEN Audio industry-standard plug-ins for surround and immersive audio production: Halo Upmix, Halo Downmix, Halo Vision, and their respective 3D extensions. Halo Upmix generates coherent spatial upmixes using real-time signal analysis and neural-network-powered dialog detection, expanding formats from LCR and 3.1 right through to 7.1, with switchable centre-channel dialogue extraction built in, and support for up to 7.1.4 and 1st–3rd order Ambisonics via the 3D extension, currently compatible with Pro Tools (AAX) and Steinberg Nuendo (VST3). Halo Downmix provides precision downmixing and surround rebalancing from formats including 5.1.4, 7.1.2 and 7.1.4. Halo Vision delivers seven customisable real-time analysis modules covering phase correlation, frequency content and spatial location for surround and immersive formats including Dolby Atmos, presented through a resizable, modular interface with tools such as a Correlation Matrix and Correlation Web for reading phase relationships across every channel pair.

Halo Upmix and Halo Downmix both predate the Halo Suite bundle as established, standalone NUGEN Audio products, with Halo Upmix in particular already recognised as an industry-standard tool for surround upmixing before its immersive 3D extension and Ambisonic support were added. Halo Vision was developed later, its design directly informed by in-depth interviews with NUGEN's most trusted and experienced users, aimed at presenting complex multichannel phase and level information without on-screen clutter or the need for a reference crib sheet. NUGEN Audio brought the three tools and their 3D extensions together as the packaged Halo Suite, presenting the bundle publicly for the first time at The Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS) 2024 in the UK.
