Axoa
Axoa is a program designed for sound control of live performances (theatre, dance, circus, puppetry) and music. It features many on-board processing capabilities for both object-based and Ambix spatialisation, performance management, binaural monitoring and head tracking. The software was shaped over more than twenty years of touring and productions, growing directly out of the practical needs of working sound designers and operators in live performance, rather than being conceived as a standalone commercial product from the outset.

Axoa was designed by François Weber, in collaboration with Matéo Esnault, and has been developed and refined over more than twenty years of touring and stage productions across theatre, dance, circus, puppetry and music. Rather than emerging from a single release date, the software grew incrementally alongside the practical demands of live sound design work, shaped directly by the shows it was used on. It remains distributed independently through its original download page rather than as a commercial product with formal versioned releases.
